No. This is not a post about the Routing Information Protocol, but to announce that today is the last day that Cisco will give support for the PIX firewall.
The last date to receive service and support for the product. After this date, all support services for the product are unavailable, and the product becomes obsolete.

To the many of us who cut our firewall teeth on the Cisco PIX we will say farewell with mixed feelings. The PIX’s Command Line Interface was similar enough to the Cisco router interface to be able to manage, but different enough to be frustrating. However, it still had some advanced features (such as being able to issue a show run command in config mode) that didn’t see their way into the Cisco CLI until the Nexus line of products came along.
Farewell PIX. May you RIP in Firewall Heaven.
